We as humans can only experience life in the present, but we have memories of the past and we have hopes of the future. At the Seder night we behave in a manner that raises questions and demands answers, and our actions symbolize things of the past and hopes for the future. When we are free, we need to remember that we were once slaves and the reason we left slavery, and when we’re slaves we have to know that one day we’ll be free and hope for redemption. This song is a form of unity that takes you to the future by making the past obvious and makes you appreciate the present. Produced by Yumi Schlezinger
