וַאֲנִי תְפִלָּתִי לְךָ ה׳ עֵת רָצוֹן אֱלֹקים בְּרָב חַסְדֶּךָ עֲנֵנִי בֶּאֱמֶת יִשְׁעֶךָ:
As for me, May my prayer to You, Hashem, be at an opportune time
Hashem, in your abundant kindness, answer me with the truth of Your salvation
Whenever the Aron traveled, Moshe would say: “Arise, Hashem, and let your foes be scattered, let those who hate You, flee from You.” For from Zion will the Torah go forth, and the word of Hashem from Jerusalem. Blessed is He Who gave the Torah to His people, Bnei Yisroel in his holiness.

Yeedle presents VaYehi Binsoa, an Eis Ratzon
In a world rife with turmoil and distorted truths, VaYehi Binsoa offers a ray of hope and unity. Inspired by the tradition of chanting these words when the Aron Kadosh is open, I am always moved by the knowledge that this is an Eis Ratzon, a particularly auspicious time for tefillah. These passukim, combined with an uplifting tone, resonate deeply with me particularly amid our current challenges.
Israel, our homeland, faces a barrage of constant threats. Jews worldwide are filled with fear as calls for our destruction echo across the globe. We have witnessed these behaviors before and we are scared.
Our commentators teach us why these specific words were chosen to be said at this Eis Ratzon. Drawing parallels to the Jewish people's wandering in the desert after torture and subsequent exodus from Mitzrayim, VaYehi Binsoa encapsulates a sense of displacement and longing for a just and peaceful homeland. It serves as a poignant reminder of our enduring spirit and unwavering emunah and bitachon in Hashem's guidance.
With its hopeful melody and powerful lyrics, Yeedle’s VaYehi Binsoa calls upon listeners to unite and pray for an end to suffering. It emphasizes the importance of preserving our mesorah; the enduring power of the Torah; and the eternity of our Jewish nation.
In this moment, when the Aron Kodesh is opened and the Torahs face us, let us seize this Eis Ratzon to pray for divine intervention for personal & collective fortitude; our enemies’ dispersion; and for unity. This uplifting song reflects our people's historical resilience. We have endured & we have survived. Just as our ancestors persevered through centuries of persecution and thrived in the face of adversity, so too can we. Just as God did not forsake us personally and as His people in the past, He will not forsake us now.
Let us unite, drawing strength from our shared heritage, unwavering faith and a common destiny. Then, His eternal word will prevail, his foes will be vanquished and the voice of truth will emanate from Zion and Yerushalayim, rightfully ours. Together, we will dance again, sing again, and uphold the Torah.
